Legacy page; conflicting prices. The original Piano Coaching page carries lower rates than the school’s current Creative Piano page. Its unique guidance is preserved here; use current music tuition and confirm any special arrangements with the studio.
Music as a language
The original approach combines computational thinking, rhythm and harmony patterns, favorite songs and project work. Learners can compose, write lyrics, engrave sheet music and record using studio technology, with coaching shaped around their interests and style.
The source also offers coaching in Chinese (中文鋼琴班), combining language and music.
Practice & sharing
Beginning and intermediate children and adults are supported; the recommended starting age is seven. The approach focuses on creativity rather than piano-certificate preparation.
At least a 61-key tabletop keyboard is recommended; the source names Yamaha YPG-235 as an example. Ask before buying, since model availability may have changed.
It describes casual, interactive Music Sharing Events in June and December, alongside student videos. Confirm the current event calendar with the studio.
Legacy tuition, trial and charter-school details
The older page lists $225/month for 30 minutes weekly or $450 for an hour, a $195 materials fee waived for charter-school students, and a $55, 30-minute trial before in-person signup. These are conflicting legacy figures, not a second current offer.
It names Blue Ridge Academy as a charter-school vendor relationship and says all programs for charter-school students are non-religious. Ask the school to confirm current vendor eligibility, trial fees and materials arrangements.
Additional links from the earlier piano page
The original page links to a definition of computational thinking, a Yamaha YPG-235 retailer reference, and an additional YouTube video. These are legacy references; the keyboard’s availability and the video’s broader claims are not verified recommendations.
