The Melody & Chord approach

Creative minds.
Clear thinking.

A melody has patterns.
A great idea has imagination.

We connect the freedom to explore with the foundations to move forward. Students learn how things work, find their own voice, and build the confidence to keep trying.

From a first composition to a challenging math concept, the starting point is the student in front of us.

Find their path

For more than ten years, Melody & Chord has grown alongside families—from their first creative music lessons to academic milestones and college planning.

The learning spaces support different kinds of work: individual study rooms for focus, open areas for collaboration and hands-on projects, and a private college-counseling suite.

Good questions

Where to
begin.

Ask us
My child has several interests. Where should we start?

Tell us what draws your child in and where you would like support. Music, academics, STEM, and future planning offer different starting points; the conversation helps identify a sensible fit.

Are music lessons only for experienced players?

No. The creative piano curriculum supports beginning and intermediate learners, including children and adults. We recommend starting around age seven. Ask us about readiness and the right instrument.

How is tutoring personalized?

Tutoring begins with a Learning Profile Assessment to look at skills, strengths, gaps, and approaches to problems. We then discuss observations, an individualized plan, and next steps with the family.

Can you help with SAT preparation and applications?

Yes. The program includes personalized SAT preparation, exploring interests and majors, college-list planning, application organization, and essay guidance that keeps the student’s own voice.

How do I learn about tuition and availability?

Music lessons start at $249 per month, tutoring at $250, STEM at $415, and SAT preparation at $470. Explore the program pages for lesson lengths and fees, then tell us your preferred times.
