A connected way to learn

Discipline.
Curiosity.
Possibility.

Clear thinking and
creative exploration.

Ms. Kerri is the founder and educational director of Melody & Chord. She works with the teaching team to shape the philosophy and individualized approach behind its programs.

Raised in Taiwan and educated in the United States, she brings an appreciation for strong foundations alongside curiosity and independent thinking. The work connects those qualities rather than treating them as separate choices.

The background behind the approach

From engineering
to education.

Patterns, systems,
and the person learning them.

Ms. Kerri earned a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT after undergraduate studies in biomedical engineering and applied mathematics.

Before founding the learning center, she spent seven years in the technology industry as an engineer and manager. Her experience also included technical interviewing and recruiting, offering a practical perspective on the thinking and capabilities that matter beyond a classroom.

She is a UCLA Certified College Counselor. Today, that combination of engineering, education, and future planning informs our work in music, mathematics, STEM, SAT preparation, and college guidance.
